Contract Localization Quality Assurance Engineer (Korean-speaking)

 

Responsibilities

• Responsible for developing test plans and comprehensive test cases based on product requirements and functional specifications for functional, regression and integration testing
• Handle multiple Quality Assurance testing tasks on a variety of platforms (Windows, MAC, Linux, and Unix) in a wide range of browsers (Internet Explorer, Chrome, FireFox, Opera, etc.)
• Perform User Interface and Documentation linguistic review in Korean
• Participate in Internationalization, Globalization and Localization bug evaluation and triage
• Work with various teams including Software Engineering, Web Development, Technical Support, Program Management, Field Marketing to troubleshoot globalization issues and diagnose failed tests
• Review and provide feedback related to architecture, product functionality, technical designs and implementations as well as testability of the applications to QA and product development team
• Find, isolate, document, regress, and track defects impacting international product release

 

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field
• Familiarity with Internationalization, Globalization and Localization methodology, tools and processes
• Experience with Web technologies such as javascript, HTTP, UI, and usage of multiple browsers and their related settings
• Proficiency in the following OS: Windows-2003/2008/XP/Vista/Windows 7, Linux, Mac OS X
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to developers, as well as Program Managers and non-technical leaders.  
• Ability to react professionally to dynamic and changing requirements, create clear and concise bug reports with actionable steps to reproduce
• Excellent judgment, organizational, problem solving skills and strong work ethics
• Must be a self starter, motivated, detail oriented, and have the ability to work collaboratively with others
• Must be fluent in Korean and work on-site in Palo Alto
