Job Title: Semiconductor Plasma Design Engineer(s)
Location: Primary locations: San Jose, CA or Austin, TX

One of our global semiconductor clients is seeking a talented Semiconductor Plasma Design Engineers to join their team. We are looking for an individual with strong problem-solving skills who can apply physics and engineering principles to the design and development of advanced plasma systems and equipment. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to innovative projects in semiconductor technology and diamond growth applications.Responsibilities:
Design and Development:
Develop new components and systems for diamond growth equipment using plasma technology.
Architect and execute experiments to understand the impacts of hardware on plasma behavior and diamond growth.
Research and Optimization:Conduct research to optimize plasma processes and improve the performance of semiconductor equipment.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate plasma systems into existing manufacturing processes.
Hands-on Work:Perform hands-on work in a lab environment, including the setup and testing of plasma equipment.
Utilize CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks) to design and model components and assemblies.
Analysis and Reporting:Apply finite element analysis (e.g., COMSOL) to evaluate and refine designs.
Document experimental results, design processes, and system performance in detailed reports.
Requirements:Experience:
3+ years of industry experience in semiconductor equipment design or plasma systems.
Proven experience in process/equipment technology research and development within semiconductor-related companies.
Education:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Applied Physics, or a related field.
Master’s or Ph.D. in Engineering, Applied Physics, or a related field is preferred.
Skills:Proficiency with vacuum equipment, its use, and design.
Hands-on experience in a lab environment with the ability to conduct practical experiments.
Experience in designing components and assemblies using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks).
Knowledge of various fabrication methods and equipment.
Experience with finite element analysis tools (e.g., COMSOL) is a plus.
Must be bilingual in Korean and English.
Compensation and Benefits:Salary:
Starting from $95K ~ $130K + with the potential for a sign-up bonus based on semiconductor plasma-related experience.
Salary is negotiable and may vary based on experience and expertise.

Physical Requirements:Use appropriate PPE and follow all safety policies, practices, and procedures.
Ability to sit, stand, walk, grasp, reach, lift, bend, twist, climb, balance, stoop, squat, kneel, and crawl.
Capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds, and performing repetitive motions.
Some tasks may require the use of ladders, stairs, driving, or foot controls.
