Now Editing “Tax Accountant” Name * Password * Email Topic Title (Maximum Length 80) Company * Location Expires at <strong>Company Overview</strong> Our client company ( Automotive R&D company) is currently looking for a TAX ACCOUNTANT working out of the Headquarters in Ann Arbor, MI. <strong>Job Title: Tax Accountant</strong> <strong>Job Location: Superior Township, MI</strong> <strong>Salary: DOE</strong> <strong>Job Summary</strong> • Manage the MEGA tax credit and the Research Tax Credit. • Implement and maintain SAP accounting software. • Enforce and improve internal controls. • Manage the corporate tax return and tax provision and daily cash flow. • Monitor, mentor and train accounting and payroll staff and assess training and development needs. <strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</strong> • Manage and calculating MEGA Tax Credit – must understand tax law requirements and meet compliance deadlines. Calculation performed monthly, reported to state annually. • Manage and calculate Research Tax Credit – must understand the requirements and meet compliance deadlines. Consult with outside accounting firm on regulations and requirements for Federal credit. • Develop requirements for SAP implementation. Consult with SAP on updates, improvements, and enhancements. Test sof ware as needed to ensure implementation progress. • Monitor, mentor and train payroll and accounting staff; assess their daily workload, abilities, project progress and availability. • Set up, enforce and improve internal controls by recognizing weaknesses and implementing better system and human con trols. • Sign off on the company’s operating and project travel expenses; enforce signature requirements and budget controls. • Manage audit and tax return preparation by answering financial questions and preparing required reports. Estimate monthly sales tax & use tax based on state requirements. • Manage corporate tax return, tax provision, quarterly corporate tax estimation • Manage daily cash flow by assessing cash needs based on outstanding loan, outstanding checks, and current cash balances. • Discuss data with controller and take direction. • Assess skills of the accounting and payroll staff and research the proper training needed in order to improve their skills and abilities and make recommendations to Controller. • Review account reconciliations, review accuracy of the purchase order data entry prior to releasing, assist in planning and monitoring of department budget, and create and present technical reports as assigned. • Perform administrative functions such as purchasing requests, timecard, vacation requests, travel requests, etc. • Travel up to 5% of time. <strong>Qualifications and Requirements</strong> • Expert knowledge of Accounting principles and practices • Expert knowledge of the company’s internal payment process and controls • Knowledge of Federal and State Corporate Tax law • Knowledge of cash flow management • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate integrity and ethical behavior • Demonstrated ability to work under tight deadlines with changing requirements <strong>Education and Experience</strong> • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting • 4~5 years experience in financial accounting, audit and tax for large enterprise • 3 years experience in tax credit research • 5 years experience supervising staff • Experience working in culturally diverse team environment <strong>Required Skills</strong> • CPA preferred • Expert SAP skills, MS Excel skills; proficient MS Word, PowerPoint, Outlook <strong>Benefits</strong> • Medical/ Dental Insurance/Vision Coverage • Paid vacation • 401K • Tuition Reimbursement Program • Fuel Allowance Program • Relocation Support <strong>Resume sent to:</strong> Brian Park iseeconsulting114@gmail.com I agree to the terms of service Update List
