Structural Analysis Engineer( Paid Internship)

SD OPTICS was founded as a subsidiary of STEREO DISPLAY, INC located in USA. We have developed MALSTM based Vari-Focus & 3D Vision System, called Wise Scope applicable to high quality image based Vision Inspection System. MALSTM is a U.S. registered trademark of Stereo Display’s patented core technology for the novel high speed variable focusing lens.

We currently provide high speed variable focusing 3D microscope, which is the core module for vision inspection system. The major functions are high speed auto focus, and real time all-in-focus, multi-focusing and 3D measurement. We are developing advanced product to overcome limitation of conventional vision inspection system.

Job Description:
We’re looking for an Intern with a technical background and high aptitude to start your engineer career with us. Performs limited structural analysis using well defined analysis tools to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications. Produce engineered analysis in FEA (ABAQUS, COMSOL and etc), review plans and specifications, and perform other related engineering duties as directed.

The working schedule will be 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8am – 5pm

Skills/Requirements:
 Undergraduate or graduated MS, PhD from an accredited college or university with major course work in structural engineering.
 Experience using AutoCAD (computer aided drafting design) is desirable.
 Experience using Finite element analysis program, experience in MEMS design is a huge plus.

Desired Major: Structural Analysis Intern

Language: Bilingual in Korean and English is a plus.
