Position Overview Senior Accountant responsibilities include reconciling account balances and bank statements, maintaining general ledger and preparing month-end close procedures. Using excellent analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles, analyzes financial reports and forecasts. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing the monthly financial close, preparing monthly management financial reporting packages, researching variances, general ledger reconciliations, oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll, as well as work with the external auditor and tax firm on annual audit and preparation of income tax returns. Duties also include ensuring accuracy and effectiveness across all accounting tasks. Duties & Responsibilities •Prepares and maintains GL by recording monthly journal entries with sufficient support documentations providing a clear audit trail. •Ensures all balance sheet accounts are reconciled and analyzed every month. •Perform fluctuation analysis on assigned accounts; research, resolve and document variances. •Coordinates monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities with the business units and the cross-functional teams. •Process payments to vendor. •Prepares monthly reports, quarterly and year end packages. •Take on ad hoc projects as requested. •Build a positive, results orientated work environment, building partnerships and modeling teamwork, communicating to the team in an open, balanced and objective manner. •Ensure compliance with US GAAP. Qualifications •Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business or equivalent/relevant experience. •Knowledge of healthcare accounting principles and GAAP. •Strong accounting skills; understanding of accounting principles and concepts. •Articulates ideas and conveys information effectively in both individual and group situations. •Encourages cooperation and builds rapport among related team members. •Seeks feedback to improve skills, knowledge and performance. Position Overview The Accounting Manager will oversee the accounting department by supervising, tracking and evaluating day-to-day activities. The Accounting Manager will be responsible for monitoring general accounting practices, developing internal accounting controls, and building a strong financial team. Duties & Responsibilities Duties include but are not limited to: •Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department. •Manage month-end close activities including: review of journal entries, account reconciliations and flux explanations. •Assist with stock-based compensation and revenue recognition. •Management, development and training of direct report(s). •Maintain policies and procedures as well as desktop procedures related to the areas of responsibility. •Participate in the review and monitoring of client invoices, contract budgets and actual time spent on projects. •Review and approve balance sheet reconciliations of the Company. •Ensure compliance with US GAAP. •Take on ad hoc projects as requested. •Build a positive, results orientated work environment, building partnerships and modeling teamwork, communicating to the team in an open, balanced and objective manner.
