GLOVIS America, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer to join an excellent organization. High level of proficiency working on continuous improvement, utilizing SQL and C#. You will work with other engineers on the company’s production and development infrastructures. The qualified candidate will have experience designing, implementing and managing Web Application and managing its servers. The successful candidate will have a positive and can do attitude that can handle pressure environments.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
New implementation, design, modification of IT programs. Data analysis and correction. Interface (EDI) enhancement and monitoring. Servers, database, and other IT equipment maintenance. Collaborate with Customer/Vendors and 3rd party IT vendor. As well as experience preforming the following functions:
Responsible for requirement analysis and design
Design, develop, test, debug and document new and existing software and or applications independently
Research for the enhancement and improvement of IT systems; provide suggestions and ideas to management
Strong technical expertise and troubleshooting skills.
Monitor and resolve system failures independently
Provide training for new or modified functionalities to users.
Supervise IT Administrator for daily IT work.
Generate data requested by users
Work with customers, vendors, and 3rd party vendors on issues or projects as assigned
Supervise / manage new project processes and coordinate with other departments as needed
Manage/work/Communicate with 3rd party vendors to resolve any issues and system enhancement
Manage and coordinate 3rd party vendor for IT contract or renewal with Infrastructure Manager.
Monitor network devices (including WiFi) and Servers with IT Admin. if needed, troubleshoot it with IT Admin & IT vendor and report it to supervisor
Supervise IT Admin for Managing IT Asset.
Supervise IT Admin for Desktop Support.
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of education or experience
2+ years with Bachelor’s degree, 6+ years with high school diploma
EXPERIENCE
Oracle DB Programming Experience (PL/SQL).
2 or more years of experience in software development: C# ( or JAVA) Visual Studio 2005/2010/2013/2015)
Javascript, Visual Basic, ASP.net, VBScript, SQL, HTML, DOM, SVN
Familiarity with Microsoft technologies web development
Object Oriented Design and Development.
IIS Experience
Be a self-starter who can work both independently and within a team in an agile environment.
Ability to manage all aspect/stages of software development lifecycle
Good written and verbal communication skills: must be able to effectively convey and document designs and processes.
Preferred Skill or Experience:
Ability to absorb and retain information quickly Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment

Ground to Waist Lift (Frequently) up to 25lbs
Ground to Waist Lift (Rarely) up to 40lbs
Ground to Waist Lift (Occasionally) up to 50lbs
Carrying:
Front Carry (Rarely) 25 ft., carry up to 55lbs
Pushing/Pulling:
Dynamic pushing/pulling (vehicle equipment) up to 50 feet
Dynamic Pushing and Pulling (Occasionally)
Ambulatory Activity:
Standing/Walking (Continuously) standing on variable surfaces throughout entire shift
Climbing (Occasionally) in and around equipment
Stairs (Occasionally) step up/down from 15’ platform/step heights
Squatting/Stooping/Kneeling: (Occasionally) to as low as ground level while cleaning or picking up products
Repetitive use of hand/grasping: (Occasionally) light to forceful manipulating/grasping of product
Reaching: (Frequently) up to 32 inches in front of body at floor to 60” heights while reaching for product.
