SMT Supervisor

Job Description

Experience with setting up, programming and maintaining automated SMT equipments, including AOI
Supervise and support technical leadership to the surface mount assembly team, and New Product Introduction.
Identify, improve, recommend, and implement measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, process capability, and product quality.
Create manufacturing processes, and conduct defect and failure analysis, engineering evaluations, statistical analysis and implement corrective actions to support process improvement efforts
Lead the development of design documentation, materials and designs for manufacturability, provide feedback to engineering development
Streamline manufacturing processes, procedures, work instructions to improve first pass yield, eliminate rework and scrap, standardize and reduce SMT setup and changeover times, reduce waste, monitor SMT process and establish robust to produce high quality products with consistency and repeatability
Lead SMT team to comply with Control Plan and customer requirements
Review and Approve SMT tools, fixtures and equipment spare part requisitions
Review customer requirements and communicate with the customers to update and resolve SMT related issues
Recommend SMT equipment upgrades or purchasing
Job Requirements

Minimum of 3 years of process engineering experience in the SMT printed circuit board assembly industry
Solid skills and knowledge of production processes and flow, SMT thru hole and assembly related processes for electronic board manufacturing
Experience on Juki brand SMT Machines (Preferred)
Experience on TRI or Koyoung AOI Machines (Preferred)
Must have knowledge of IPC-610E and IPC-600 standards
Strong computer skills, particularly MS Excel software required
Strong analytical, verbal and written communication skills
Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma Methodology
Proven ability to design production processes
