Since 1997, the company has grown 30% annually on average with clients in almost all industries with a main focus in enterprise accounts, financial institutions, and government organizations. <strong>What the company is looking for</strong>: A high-energy, experienced software engineer to engage with sales prospects and partners, understand and assess customer requirements, prepare and present demonstrations of the company products, perform POCs and Projects as necessary, address technical questions that arise throughout the sales process, and build a trusted adviser relationship with the customers. Your role will allow you to engage directly with customers and partners on both technical and non-technical levels to ensure superior service as well as interact directly with key support and R&D personnel to resolve issues. You will work directly with the company’s sales team to demonstrate and POC/Project integration in customer environments <strong>Job responsibilities</strong>: - Provide technical support for Mainframe migration. - Work with Presales engineer, Product Management and R&D engineer to propose scope and propose custom solutions - Work with Product Management by providing ongoing feedback to enhance and maintain the company products - Participate on project teams for purpose of implementing mainframe migration onto Unix/Linux environment - Perform converted mainframe codes troubleshooting with mainframe users or other administrators and assist with problem resolution. - Analyze system performance and make recommendations for optimization - Performs on-call support for assigned products - Interact and communicate with multiple teams - Define high-level application platform architectural guidelines - Create and maintain documentation <strong>Qualifications</strong> · 5+ years of mainframe programming experience and demonstrated proficiency in COBOL, CICS, DB2, VSAM and JCL · Working experience in UNIX/Linux environment with proficiency in UNIX shell script · Working knowledge about IMS DB/DC is a plus · Java, Unix/Linux shell scripting experience is a plus. · Experience migrating from mainframe application to Open standard distributed system is a plus <strong>- What Sets You Apart?</strong> · Excellent verbal and written communication skills · Strong analytical and problem solving skills · Ability to meet deadlines · Excellent customer relations skill · Ability to work within a team environment as well as individually on specific tasks · Ability to work with a geographically distributed development team · Must have independent decision making and problem solving skills · PASSION for being part of a great team <strong>Compensation:</strong> The company offers an aggressive compensation plan.
