Senior Accountant, Global Controllership, CPA required Driving Infinite Possibilities Within A Diversified, Global Organization Join the Global Controllership team to support accounting and finance activities at Honeywell Process Solutions (HPS). You will apply accounting expertise and understanding of US GAAP in interactions with the business teams to support their growth and financial objectives. This role will facilitate a timely month-end close and accounting for complex transactions and will provide financial controls, accounting and reporting oversight of the HPS financial statements. JOB ACTIVITIES Accounting reviews of specific transactions including: o Research and interpretation of technical accounting, guidance to revenue recognition matters, review of customer project analysis reports; sales and disposition of assets and businesses, etc. o Review of intangible assets impairment analysis for HPS business units (trademarks, patents, customer relationships, etc.) o Review of inventory reserve analysis o Review of significant HPS level accruals such as sales incentive plans Assist with the implementation of new accounting Standards Accounting policy and SEA resource for HPS business teams Facilitate various month-end/quarter-end close activities, such as entity follow up, timely processing of journals and aggregating close related items for proper review/actions specific scenario analysis Coordinate technical guidance on project accounting for consistent application across regions Assist with HPS Waivers and EAC review process Assist with implementation of plans/initiatives regarding month-end close and quarter/year-end close improvements Assist with development of corrective action plans and continued monitoring for timely remediation and closure Assist with HPS-level controllership deliverables to Corporate and PMT, as necessary Champion and lead process standardization, automation and internal control improvements Support other special projects/strategic initiatives as required Accounting reviews of multiple specific transactions Assist with the implementation of new accounting Standards Accounting policy and SEA resource for HPS business teams Facilitate various month-end/quarter-end close activities Assist with HPS Waivers and EAC review process YOU MUST HAVE • Bachelors’ degree in Accounting or Finance • CPA license • 4+ years of experience in Public Accounting WE VALUE • Knowledge of US GAAP Sarbanes-Oxley and Internal controls • Big 4 Public Accounting experience • Ability to present complex analysis with clarity • Ability to understand accounting and financial processes related to the business • Project accounting experience • Excellent communication and leadership skills • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with the business as a team member • Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive process improvement • SAP and HFM knowledge • M&A and integration experience a plus Due to US export control laws, must be a US citizen, permanent resident or have protected status.
