Job Title: Sales Support + Integration Engineer
Description:
This position provides technical support to Business Development and Sales to meet or exceed sales objectives. The position requires excellent technical and communication skills, prior technical experience and customer problem resolution, and the ability to work well in a team setting. A comprehensive understanding of computer concepts and terminology is required. Proficiency in Java is desirable.
This position will report to the Managing Director.
Responsibilities:
— Works closely with Business Development and Sales (in the US) as a technical consultant of ThinkFree’s Server Edition and Desktop Edition products during sales calls, demonstrations, and lab tests.
— Builds and maintains a close relationship with customers (Worldwide) and sales reps (in the US), and the engineering team (in Korea).
— Answers technical questions and conducts demonstrations of products and new features to prospects and to various groups within existing customer accounts.
— Provides product installation problem resolution and support. Also, provides full technical training of ThinkFree’s products.
— Gathers ongoing prospect/customer feedback, enhancement requests, and related information.
— Occasional travels to visit customers throughout the US and abroad.
— Provides hands-on technical assistance and troubleshooting support for customers.
— Coordinates both technical and business issues between customers and engineers to meet customers’ needs.
— Take part in tradeshows, conferences and marketing events.
Qualifications:
— Education: Requires a Bachelor Degree level in a computer and Internet subject.
— 2+ years experience as a sales engineer or system engineer in a mix of Unix/Win environment.
— Hands-on Linux/Unix, Windows 2000/XP, and Mac OS X experience.
— Knowledge of web technologies, including HTML, XML, Java, CGI, etc.
— Knowledge of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, HTTP, HTTPS, SSL, DMZ, etc.
— Knowledge of SQL and relational databases is desired.
— Outstanding account management and follow-through skills.
— Excellent ability to work closely with customers in pre- and post-sales situations.
— Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. Korean communication skills a plus.
Other Experience:
— Candidate must also have at least one year of experience providing application/network support and explaining technology to customers and sales prospects or providing internal support to company employees.
— Requires the ability to interact with many different types of individuals, including executives, scientists, engineers, analysts, and other computer and business professionals.
— A broad background and general knowledge of technical, administrative, and financial areas, and a basic understanding of related terms and business processes.
