    JOB DESCRIPTION

    SEA OB TITLE: IT Support Analyst I
    GLOBAL JOB TITLE: Associate I
    LABOR GRADE: S3

    REPORTS TO: Sr. IT Manager I

    SUMMARY: IT support specialists provide technical assistance, support, and advice to individuals and organizations that depend on information technology. The position provides hardware, network and software support to employees including but not limited to answering basic questions about IT system use. Tasks also include troubleshooting problems such as logging onto computer systems or software, printing malfunctions, or routine error messages. In some cases, this position will research appropriate solutions to solve problems. If standard techniques do not resolve the situation, this position will seek assistance from the appropriate technical professional.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Install software, hardware, and provide technical support to maintain the integrity of the company computers, software, and telecommunications systems.
    • Determine how to push software out to end-users and troubleshoot computer and network systems.
    • Provides first and second level help desk support.
    • Upgrades software and hardware.
    • Corrects network malfunctions, printer, and connectivity problems.
    • Windows Server and Active Directory operation and maintenance.
    • Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements

    QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
    • General knowledge of computers.
    • General knowledge of related information technology devices.
    • General knowledge of software packages utilized.
    • Ability to communicate with users to determine the nature of problems.
    • Ability to communicate effectively with users who may not be adept in clarifying problem situations.
    • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
    • Ability to solve independently most minor problems.
    • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or information systems with over two years practical experienced, or Associate’s degree in computer science or information systems with three years practical experienced.
    • Specific knowledge of the Microsoft software (Microsoft Office, Windows XP/7, Windows Server 2008/2012, Active Directory), hardware and network supported
    • Proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator or similar role
    • Netapp or VMware administration experiences is a plus
    • ComTIA A+/Network+/CCNA, and/or Microsoft MTA/MCSE/MCSA/MCITP/MCTS are preferred.

    NORMAL WORKING HOURS:
    9/80 work schedule Monday through Friday. Off every other Friday, work 8 hours on the other Friday. Flexible work hours beginning between 7:00 am and 8:30 am and ending between 5:00 pm and 6:30 pm every Monday through Thursday (9 hour work days). One hour lunch break.
