Established in 1986 in Long Island City, NY, Grant Supplies is a leading
supplier of electrical and plumbing products in the greater NY/NJ area. We also
extensively service and supply products throughout the United States, as well
as internationally.We
are currently in search of a Purchasing Specialist at our LIC
headquarters.Position Objective:
–
Responsible for negotiating with various vendors for material goods and
services, negotiating price agreements and contracts for services.Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supply purchasing for each vendor individual is responsible for stock
purchasing for all locations - Maintain a strong relationship with vendor representatives; follow up
with requests by salespeople on vendor literature (catalogues and brochures). - Update all pricing changes.
- Monitor orders are fulfilled in a timely manner and follow up with all
back-orders and missing items for each vendor. - Follow up with inventory on each branches and transfer materials when
branch inventory is low.
Qualifications:- Specific industry-related experience preferred,
but not required; will train the right candidate. - Solid computer, organizational, and
problem-solving skills. - Flexibility with work demands, meeting constant
deadlines, and accomplish assigned tasks in a timely manner. - Must possess the ability to clearly and
effectively communicate in English; Korean proficiency is a plus. - Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
