COMPANY OVERVIEW:

Our client company is located in Pontiac, Michigan and manufactures industrial machinery. This organization primarily operates in the Assembly Machines, including Robotic business / industry within the Industrial and Commercial Machinery and Computer Equipment sector.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Purchasing Coordinator will be responsible for all purchased parts that apply to customer programs. The Purchasing Agent will maintain a streamlined purchasing department and oversee the procurement budget. This position requires the ability to build and maintain relationships with vendors, along with negotiate prices to deliver a cost savings. The position calls for strong work ethic, flexibility, excellent interpersonal skills, and ability to work well levels of internal and external management and staff, as well as outside clients.

POSITION ACOUNTABILITIES:

• Oversee the entire procurement to payment process, from RFQ’s, to submitting POs, receiving and Accounts Payable.
• Manage multiple conveyor program budgets
• Assist Sales Department by managing Pos as they are received from customers, tracking items for delivery and accurate invoicing
• Negotiate with vendors to produce cost saving results
• Oversee delivery of finished products to customer plants

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Supply chain, or related field, or 2+ years of related experience
• Advance verbal and communications skills
• Bilingual in Korean and English
• Must be proficient in Microsoft skills
