Kwangjin was established in 1973, with 18 factories located in Asia, Europe, North and South America. One thousand five hundred employees over the world manufacture and supply door modules, window regulators and other body hardware parts for Hyundai/Kia Motors, General Motors, Volkswagen, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles and other OEMs.
Kwangjin America, a subsidiary of Kwang Jin Korea and is a Tier 1 supplier to General Motors and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles. Kwangjin America is located in the City of Warren, Michigan and is housed under one roof with over 56,000 square feet for engineering, sales, a test lab, production and warehouse.
There are production (assembly) lines of window regulators for Chevrolet Silverado, Tahoe, Corvette, Camaro, Equinox, Malibu, Cadillac CT6 and XT5. More assembly lines will be installed.

Currently we are looking to fill the following position:
PROJECT ENGINEER – Experienced
You will lead a cross functional team in product realization process from the technical presentation to run at rate event. Close coordination is required with the departments in Korean headquarter for tool development, process development and supplier part development. You will be supported by collocated design, quality, sales, test lab in the Warren facility.
You will be the primary contact point for customers’ release engineers. You should build engineering knowledge to the product performance, the KJ manufacturing process and the customers’ assembly process to perform the job.
The requirement for travel outside metro Detroit area is less than 15%. You must not have restriction to travel to Korea and other countries when KJ provides visa support.
Your skills and abilities also include:
1. SKILL
• New program acquisition
o Organize customer technical presentation with the help of departments of KJA and KJ R&D center in Korea
• Lead customer PDT(Project Development Team) meetings
• Lead KJA product development projects
• Monitor project development schedule and report deficiency.
• Maintain APQP documents, including,
o ADVP&R(Analysis Development Validation Plan and Reporting)
• Receive customer EWO and forward to relevant KJ manufacturing locations.
• Manage engineering change for development products until the start of mass production
o Support customers with change cost and timing study
o Coordinate validation test
o Coordinate internal production schedule and customer implementation schedule
• Support customer prototype operation
• Support customer early production operation
2. REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering
• Written and spoken English communication
• Written and spoken Korean communication
• Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint document creation
• Structured document authoring
3. EXPERIENCE
