Bi-Lingual Technical Liaison Representative

PPG Industries, a $15 billion leading producer of coatings and specialty products is seeking talented people for a Bi-Lingual Technical Liaison Representative position.
The successful candidate will be assigned to work at the Hyundai Motor Company Automotive Assembly facility in Montgomery, AL. In-the-field training will be provided to learn PPG paint technology, paint formulation, paint processing, application methods, customer interaction, and to further develop technical service abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Acts as the intermediate or “liaison” between Hyundai/Kia customers and PPG Associates to ensure that the customer’s requirements are established, understood and satisfied
- Responsible for the efficient and effective performance of PPG products through technical expertise, problem identification/resolution and process observations applied to both PPG and the customers operations
- Supports on-time delivery of the product; assures that the product meets agreed-to specifications between the customer and PPG
- Advises the customer of the benefits of new PPG technology
- Help grow business by assisting in the development of new products and by executing the launch of new products and services
- Supports customer requested product trials by clarifying what is to be expected
- Translates information
Requirements:
- A Bachelor of Science Degree in a technical field such as Chemistry or Engineering is required (Chemical or Mechanical Engineering is preferred)
- Must have written and verbal fluency in both Korean and English
- Must have the ability to conduct business in a manner consistent with Korean business customs
- 2 – 3 years of coatings and applications experience preferred
- The ability and willingness to work in an Automotive Assembly plant environment.
- Must have good speaking and presentation skills; strong time management; and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
