Project DescriptionORNLXX-XX-CNMS
Project
Description:The
Center for Nanophase Materials Sciences (CNMS) at Oak Ridge National Laboratory
(ORNL) is seeking to fill a postdoctoral position in the field of conducting
polymer aggregation in solution and thin films to enable energy related
applications of organic electronics. The applicant will conduct fundamental
research on dynamics of polymer aggregation in binary solvents at controlled
environmental conditions, expanding the study to thin films. The primary
experimental techniques are optical (steady and time-resolved) spectroscopy
and impedance spectroscopy. The position will require active
cross-cutting research collaborations with polymer synthesis, advanced
structural characterization of solutions and films, theory and modeling.
