얼마전 노트북을 이베이에 올려 보았습니다.

얼마 지나지않아 5~6통의 오퍼 메일이 오더군요. 시장가보다 터무니 없는 높은 금액을 제시하면서 말이지요…

이 사연들이 가관입니다. 미션트립중인 목사가 딸한테 보내고 싶다, 아들의 생일이 얼마 남지 않았다, 클라이언트한테 5일안에 보내주어야 한다..등등.

그리곤 얼마지나지 않아 Paypal로 돈을 지불 하였으니,물건을 보내라고 합니다. “아프리카”로요. 주로 나이지리아 더군요.

또 잠시후 Paypal에서 메일을 보내 옵니다. 입금완료 되었고 트래킹 넘버를 메일로 보내주면 저의 어카운트로 바로 송급될거라면서요.

근데 이 메일이 정말로 페이팔에서 보내는 메일과 정말 유사하더군요.. 낙관이나 메일 포멧등이요..

아래는 그중 하나입니다.

심심해서 페이팔에 문의 해보았습니다.
답변은 “이런 문구가 들어가 있는 경우는 정상적인 페이팔로 부터의 트랜잭션이 아니다 입니다.”..

최근에 저도 이베이를 시작했는데…
저런식으로 사기를 치는 경우가 있군요…
원글님 글 모르고 이베이 시작했다면 100% 걸렸겠습니다.

Paypal은 tracking number를 보내지 않습니다.

이런 식의 사기는 주로 아프리카, 호주, 동남아 등지에서 자주 발생하는 전형적인 예입니다.

특히 credit card로 결제를 받은 경우에도 몇달 후에 stolen card로 판명되는 경우도 있으니 조심해야 합니다.

paypal에서 mail2eurupoe.com이라는 도메인을 통해서 이메일을 보낼 이유가 전혀 없겠지요?
