Now Editing “Operations Team Leader (Restaurant Unit)” Name * Password * Email Topic Title (Maximum Length 80) Company * Location Expires at SUMMARY Bibigo Team Leader will be in charge of the day-to-day management of the existing Bibigo restaurants business unit in the US and guide the brand development, proof of concept, execution and growth in the US. Also this position takes the primary role in strategic planning, Brand Development and Positioning, Policy-Making and Implementation / Execution. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Job duties include but are not limited to the following: • Develop the Bibigo Restaurants US strategic plan including long-term vision/growth strategy and establish effective measurement and accountability processes to ensure successful execution of the plan. Within the context of the strategic plan, the team leader will: o Develop and meet annual operating and capital budgets o Develop systems, controls, feedback channels and other techniques to continually improve financial performance, customer, and employee satisfaction o Analyze business situations, operational data (i.e., P&L, customer/process metrics, etc.), and people performance in a timely manner, determining what matters, then making effective trade‐off decisions that lead to sustainable economic value creation o Establish a positive and ethical work climate that is conducive to attracting, recruiting, hiring, training and retaining a top-notch executive team. o Anticipate industry trends and continually evaluate Bibigo’s strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats to improve overall division performance. o Refine the concept, as necessary, to continually meet the changing needs of the target consumer without sacrificing core brand attributes or food quality. o Build and maintain an environment that builds pride, motivation and productivity in the team and achieves results. • As it relates to the growth and concept development objectives for Bibigo restaurants, the team leader will lead, develop and implement strategies and tactics around: o Product development, new menu item introductions and “tweaks” to recipes to resonate with US consumers (in close alignment with CJ Foodville to maintain brand integrity) o Social-local-digital and other types of marketing presence o In-restaurant merchandising and menu design o Concept usage patterns and core customer profiles o Growth markets, trade areas, site selection identification, new restaurant construction and openings • Develop an execution culture across the organization: o Introduce bold and innovative thinking and action plans to further differentiate the brand from competitors ensuring market share and profitable growth o Bring new levels of process and system rigor along with people management and training to the organization enhancing executional excellence through the entire supply chain through to restaurant operations o Analyze data and business issues in order to coach and guide team members to profitable results • Act as the role model ‘living’ Bibigo’s values. • Provide ongoing, detailed, and substantive communication to CJ Foodville executive team and maintain high personal involvement and visibility with CJ Foodville executives to develop transparent and collaborative dialogue and accessibility. • Ensure the business adheres to all local, regional, state, and federal laws. QUALIFICATIONS The ideal candidate for Bibigo team leader will be decisive and persuasive but not “ego” driven. S/he will lead by example and be a “hands on” operator with the ability to see the big picture and how the concept will grow. S/he will be a strong motivator and have a positive attitude but also hard working and a measured thinker with first-rate analytical skills. Given the size of the brand, the team leader must have a demonstrated ability to be both a leader and a “doer,” a person with a strong level of intellectual curiosity, and a contagious enthusiasm to make things happen. Some other important characteristics include: Professional Qualifications: • Team Building Skills: o Have deep connections and a proven ability to source, attract, select, develop and motivate a team of exceptional managers and executives. o Ability to source, select and partner with joint-venture partners and franchisees; to build the brand and maintain operational excellence and brand integrity. o Create a strong team environment built on pride and operational excellence. • Strategic Planning, Brand Development and Restaurant Skills: o Strong strategic planning ability with superior analytical skills with a high capacity for managing complexity. o An acknowledged “student of the industry,” who is well versed on established restaurant companies and emerging new concepts. o In-depth experience in brand building, brand positioning, and concept development with demonstrated ability to create sustainable sales and unit growth and profitability. o A demonstrated progressive and successful career as an operations executive with a strong background in marketing and brand development. o Strong knowledge of the US consumer and how consumer preference changes by region and DMA. o A proven track record of creating sustainable economic value in the casual or fast-casual segments. o Other key experiences preferred: training, HR, franchising and site selection. • Business Acumen: o High intellectual and analytical capability. o Expert at analyzing operational and financial performance and translating that into positive action and results. Must be comfortable with financial statements and business metrics. A detail‐oriented person, both highly numerate and analytical. o Demonstrated success using other and various management tools including real estate, site evaluations, consumer insight surveys and other marketing data. o Successful at problem solving with a strong commercial understanding. • Communication: o Superior interpersonal skills o Excellent presentation skills o Well-developed verbal and written communication skills. o Able to collaborate well across all functions and levels of the company. • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited university with at least 20 years of experience in the multi-unit restaurant, retail or hospitality industries. An advanced degree in business (MBA or equivalent) would be a plus. • International experience, especially with Korean companies would be helpful but not required.
