One thousand five hundred employees over the world manufacture and supply door modules, window regulators and other body hardware parts for Hyundai/Kia Motors, General Motors, Volkswagen, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles and other OEMs. Kwangjin America, a subsidiary of Kwang Jin Korea and is a Tier 1 supplier to General Motors and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles. Kwangjin America is located in the City of Warren, Michigan and is housed under one roof with over 56,000 square feet for engineering, sales, a test lab, production and warehouse. There are production (assembly) lines of window regulators for Chevrolet Silverado, Tahoe, Corvette, Camaro, Equinox, Malibu, Cadillac CT6 and XT5. More assembly lines will be installed. We have an immediate requirement for a: MOTOR AND ELECTRONICS ENGINEER You will manage our motor suppliers and power window electronics(PWE) suppliers for vehicle development projects. You will also represent KJ to North American customers for KJ original PWE development project. Close coordination is required with the departments in Korean headquarter for the PWE development. You will be supported by collocated Design, Project management, Purchasing, Sales, Test lab in the Warren facility. You will be the primary contact point for customers’ release engineers in regards to the issues of motor and PWE. You should build engineering knowledge to gear reduction small DC motor and vehicle system network connected PWE. You will report to Product Development manager, and will be trained by a Senior Motor and Electronics engineer. The requirement for travel outside metro Detroit area is less than 10%. You must not have restriction to travel to Korea and other countries when KJ provides visa support. Your skills and abilities also include: 1. SKILL • Work in areas such as small DC motor and PWE. • Lead the integration activity of motor and PWE to window regulator. • Support the development organization in KJ R&D center in Korea for the development program of original PWE. • Provide OEM customer support for KJ PWE development program. • Lead the development of anti-pinch function with suppliers to new and existing door systems. • Create and manage motor SOR. • Revise customer SOR based on agreement with customer as necessary • Manage motor development and electronics development issues among customers, suppliers, project engineers, and Kwangjin organizations. • Evaluate proposals from motor suppliers for new concept motors • Give engineering consultation to Quality department in the approval of motor and electronics. 2.
