Hyundai ENG America, Inc. is seeking to hire a Mechanical Engineer with experience in building/facility maintenance and management or construction management for their Facilities Management Department. The job site location for this position is on the campus of Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Alabama facility commonly referred to as HMMA located in Montgomery, Alabama. This position is for employment with Hyundai ENG America, Inc., not HMMA. Hyundai ENG America, Inc., is a subsidiary of HMMA. There is no travel involved for this position.
The candidate hired for this position will also temporarily oversee and manage janitorial services provided by the onsite contractor janitorial company. Initially, up to 80% of the candidates responsibilities will involve managing janitorial services until such time an Assistant Manager is hired to administer the day to day operations of the contractor janitorial service company.
The skills and abilities required for the Mechanical Engineering position are:
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering-
• Registration as a license professional engineer or equivalent preferred, but not required-
• A minimum of 2 years Mechanical Engineering experience with knowledge and cross competency experience with Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Supervision, Environmental, Maintenance or Construction Engineering-
• Working knowledge of building codes, OSHA Safety Standards, quality environmental laws, regulations and goals-
• Support and lead execution of various facility projects-
• Ability to collaborate with the facilities management/leadership and maintenance team members and subcontractors to deliver solutions that are aligned with their strategies and goals-
• Effective oral and written communications skills is a must-
• Ability and willingness to work occasional evenings, nights, weekends and holidays as required to
• Provides engineering information by answering questions and requests-
• Prepares reports-
• Ability and willingness to work closely with facility maintenance team members and subcontractors-
• Provide project work support-
• Excellent Computer Experience (Microsoft Word, Power Point and Excel)-
• Leadership and guidance skills-
• Excellent organization and planning skills-
• Strong ability to plan, organize and direct-No additional special skills or prior experience is needed to manage/oversee the janitorial service contractor. Training will be provided.
Qualifications and requirements for the ideal candidate:

• Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Alabama Plant-Salary and Compensation:
• $60,000, but is negotiable based on prior Mechanical Engineering experience-
