    Job Summary
    Assuring proper maintenance for all manufacturing equipment and for providing leadership and coordination of all manufacturing maintenance activities to assure compliance, quality, product cost, customer service and safety objectives are achieved.
    Essential Duties and Responsibilities
    •Oversight of general maintenance and repair of buildings, facilities, equipment and grounds
    •Develop and maintain schedules for preventative maintenance
    •Keep maintenance records for all equipment
    •Work with the production team to resolve maintenance issues in a timely manner with minimal disturbance for factory output
    •Oversee all new construction, renovation and facility improvement projects
    •Solicit bids and/or estimates for all work to be performed by outside contractors
    •Ensure that proper permits and regulations are being followed in all projects
    •Develop and implement quality and efficiency plans for continued mass production
    •Maintains thorough knowledge of all processes and equipment
    •Troubleshoots assembly equipment problems
    •Evaluates adequacy of spare part quality and inventories; modifies accordingly
    •Ensures a rapid response repair system is in place to address unplanned downtime events
    •Identify/develop training program for hourly maintenance workers
    •Over-site of department budget/fiscal matters
    •Procure maintenance equipment and supplies
    •Other duties as assigned.

    Skills/Requirements
    •Knowledge of job application and work station layout.
    •Effective written and verbal communication skills that conveys information effectively.
    •Ability to lift 50 pounds without assistance
    •Effectively use a variety of hand and power tools, operator a forklift truck, pallet jacks, hand trucks, carts, etc.
    •Ability to perform operator’s maintenance on assigned equipment.
    •Ability to adapt flexibly in a fast-paced environment and work within a team environment
    •Must have good visual inspection skills
    •Ability to work weekends, holidays and during plant shutdowns.

    Education/Training/Experience
    •6 years or more experience in a manufacturing environment, automobile manufacturing preferred
    •Bachelor’s degree in Technical/Mechanical major or 4 years experience in a Supervisory role with a Associate’s/Technical diploma.
    •Must have a minimum of 2 years experience of having 3 or more direct reports required.
