Oh Pharmaceutical is in the process of constructing its first cGMP manufacturing facility in Merrillville, IN and plans to expand its market in US, Canada, Europe and South America. <strong>Brief Job Information</strong> We are currently seeking a qualified candidate to fill the role of Construction Project Manager for OH Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. which currently proceeds the new build-up of an injectable injection kits production plant in the Merrillville, Indiiana. This position must assume a leadership role in managing the entire life of an aggressively scheduled project from the engineering / bidding & negotiation phase to the end of construction phase including commissioning, SAT, and turnover. <strong>Responsibilities</strong> • Review engineering and architectural drawings and specifications to monitor project progress and ensure compliance with plans and schedules. • Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion • Evaluate bid package documents from preconstruction service company, compilation of bid tabs in a timely manner • Communicate progress of construction activities with Client project manager ( UK Chemipharm in Korea ) frequently • Review and Approve General contractor Applications for Payment after discussion with Client project manager ( UK Chemipharm in Korea ) • Prepare and approve change orders after discussion with Client project manager ( UK Chemipharm in Korea ) • Coordinate, lead and document the required job meetings, including project startup meetings with general contractor and subcontractors. • Prepare project reports for management including weekly ownership project reports • Insure adherence to strict safety standards ensuring the all related sub-contractors are properly trained and knowledgeable with OSHA standard and safety related area. • Review the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs • Oversee all onsite and offsite constructions to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations • Coordinate and direct construction workers of general contractor and subcontractors • Review the work progress on daily basis • Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones • Negotiate terms of agreements, draft contracts and obtain permits and licenses • Analyze, manage and mitigate risks • Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques • Manage all aspects of construction projects from pre-construction to project close-out • Manage project teams including Project Coordinators, Engineering company, General contractor and Subcontractors • Maximize team effectiveness to ensure targets and objectives are met • Manage quality of subcontractors to ensure that schedule, scope, response and cost are consistent with company expectations • Monitor performance standards guaranteeing jobsite safety • Develop and maintain good relationships with team members and vendors <strong>Job Requirements</strong> • Proven working experience in construction management • Knowledge of the Material Submittal process, RFP’s ad RFI’s • Expert knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards • Understanding of all facets of the construction process • Familiarity with construction management software packages • Competent in conflict and crisis management • Strong Leadership and human resources management skills • Excellent time and project management skills • BS degree in construction management or equivalent field • 7+ years Construction industry or Project Management experience • 5+ years Pharmaceutical Plant Construction experience • Excellent communication skills • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment • A highly motivated, self-starter • Knowledge of region-specific codes, the permitting process, and/or inspections is a plus. • Demonstrated ability to effectively identify and resolve problems. • Fair proficiency in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, and Word). • OSHA requirements and other legal restrictions Background screen including driving record will be performed upon offer of employment For more information on the company, please visit http://www.ohpharma.com For any inquiries and applications, please send your cover letter and resume to info@ohpharma.com Thank you.
