Job Title: Legal Assistant

Our client company located in Norcross, GA,, Inc., has been in the United States for over 20 years and is a part of the Construction Equipment Division of Heavy Industries, a global leader in Shipbuilding, Offshore Drilling & Engineering, Industrial Plant Development & Engineering, Engine & Machinery Manufacturing, Electro Electric Systems Manufacturing and Construction Equipment.
Responsibilities:
• Maintain paper and electronic files for all new and old litigation cases (correspondence, affidavits, pleadings, etc.)
• Maintain all pertinent original company documents that need to be kept safe as requested
• Maintain and organize all Dealer file/ agreements, including other pertinent company documents as needed
• Update and maintain all dealer agreements as needed for dealer changes if approved by management and/or President
• Keep chronological history updated for each litigation case by date and issue
• Keep case summaries updated for each litigation case as needed for the Legal department and company knowledge
• Perform legal as needed for litigation cases as well as state law research for dealer terminations and relationship maintenance
• Perform research into our insurance policies to determine coverage as needed
• Review and summarize legal fees by each case and firm
• Execute Termination letters to specified dealers as approved and requested by management
• Work closely with all departments as necessary concerning Litigation matters
• Make sure that the company is in compliance with regulations and state laws; specifically with our dealers
• Maintain and update Corporate Minute books and Board of Directors folder
• Create and improve any requested company policies (document retention, dealer sign up, etc.)
• Assist Finance and management in sending demand letters for monies owed to company
• Ensure that agreements or contracts are not executed that are not in line with the Company policy
• Assist and help provide the best defense and offense in all of our litigation cases by paying attention to all details involved with any incident and situation as needed
• Must be fluent in Korean to communicate with parent company regarding legal mattersOther duties:
