ENTERTAINMENT PRODUCER

GENERAL SUMMARY:
LA 18 is the premier Asian-language television station in the
United States, broadcasting throughout Southern California. The Entertainment Producer will
coordinate all of LA 18’s entertainment content for its various language services, working with
the major entertainment companies for access to red carpet media events, press junkets and daily
news coverage. We are looking for a creative, dynamic producer who is passionate about all
things Hollywood, Asia and the entertainment business.PRINCIPAL DUTIES:
1. Write daily day-of-air entertainment news segments for Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese
and Filipino TV news programs.
Coordinate and secure all elements to support the daily entertainment news segments.

3. Pre-produce and produce field shoots (press junkets, red carpet premiers, etc.).
4. Manage field camera crews.
5. Develop new entertainment segments for broadband and other platforms.REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
• Must have excellent writing skills and video production experience.
• Exceptional editorial judgment, research and story development skills needed.
• Must have thorough knowledge of entertainment news cycle and publicity system.
• Must be able to work effectively under tight deadlines in multi-cultural, multi-lingual
environment.
• Spoken fluency in Korean or Mandarin preferred but not required.
• Basic non-linear video editing skills needed, as well as knowledge of AP ENPS system.EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
At least three years experience in entertainment media production (TV, online or radio) required.
