We are currently seeking a Senior Associate to join our Korean Audit Practice in Atlanta.

    KPMG’s Audit practice uses a methodology that transforms the audit process from a traditional compliance-driven function to a risk-based approach by creating a framework for auditors to assess how a client’s business risks affect financial statements. This approach offers a more comprehensive view of how a client’s unique risk environment affects its financial reporting.

    Responsibilities:

    • Execute the day-to-day activities of audit engagements of various clients, including Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) registrants
    • Identify and communicate accounting and auditing matters to Managers and Partners
    • Identify performance improvement opportunities
    • Interact with clients to help ensure that the information flow from the client to the audit team is efficient
    • Understand and utilize KPMG’s Audit Methodology
    • Supervise Audit Associates and Interns on engagements
    • Serve as a liaison between clients and senior management
    • Identify, research, and communicate technical matters to both clients and senior management

    Qualifications:

    • Two years of current and/or recent audit experience in public accounting
    • BA/BS degree from an accredited college/university
    • Eligible to sit for the CPA exam
    • Applied working knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and accounting procedures
    • Ability to meet challenging client requirements, provide services, and possess strong communication, interpersonal, analytical, and research abilities
    • Ability and willingness to travel
    • Experience with past or current auditing SEC registrants
    • Demonstrated supervisory experience
    • Ability to use both Korean and English language skills in a business environment
    • Previous auditing experience in the manufacturing industry
