IT Specialist, IT Assistance Manager

JOB PURPOSE:
The Information Technology Specialist will be responsible for day-to-day operations of IT infrastructure and software systems. This position will work with IT Assistant Manager as well as the appropriate business personnel to for the daily reliability and uptime of the infrastructure and software systems to support business processing consistent with business work schedules. The IT Specialist will also be responsible for appropriate network, servers and software system security. This position is also responsible for training system users in the organization, assisting IT Assistant Manager with projects, cost reduction where appropriate and producing the appropriate documents regarding project, software changes, network related information and etc. The IT Specialist will report directly to the IT Manager.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Strategic Planning
· Supports assistant/manager on building his/her planning efficiently.
· Completes projects under assistant manager’s coordination.

Infrastructure Maintenance
• Maintain and trouble shoot local area network for company computers.
• Maintain and trouble shoot phone system.
• Maintain and trouble shoot Cisco network equipment.
• Maintain and trouble shoot server equipment.
• Maintain and trouble shoot Oracle database.
• Design and implement backup system and policy, and manage daily backup operation.

Software System Maintenance
• Maintain and support SAP ERP system.
• Design and implement custom reports based on ERP system data as requested by departments.
• Design and implement additional modules and screens for ERP system according to user requirements.
• Manage and document changes to existing system.
