Title: Information Technology Manager
Department: Information TechnologyJob Purpose: Maintains information technology strategies by managing staff; managing outsourcing; researching and implementing technological strategic solutions. Ensures the streamlined operation of the IT Department in alignment with the business objectives of the company.
Job Duties:
Manage Information Technology and Computer System:
• Ensure the continual functioning of mission critical information systems
• Oversee the development, design, and implementation of new applications and changes to existing computer systems and software packages
• Maintain security and privacy of the information systems, communication lines, and equipment
• Control the computer systems budgets and expenditures
• Meet with managers to discuss system requirements, specifications, costs and timelines
• Verifies application results by conducting system audits of technologies implemented.
Resource Management:
• Hire and manage information systems personnel and contractors to design, develop, implement, operate and administer computer and telecommunication software, networks and information systems
• Conduct performance appraisals, and delegate work assignment for all IT personnel
Strategic Responsibilities:
• Provide leadership, vision, and management to the IT department
• Maintains organization’s effectiveness and efficiency by defining, delivering, and supporting strategic plans for implementing information technologies
• Directs technological research by studying organization goals, strategies, practices, and user projects
• Recommend information technology strategies and procedures by evaluating outcomes; identifying problems; evaluating trends; anticipating requirements
Operational Responsibilities:
• Business case assessment, vendor selection, implementation, management production support for all Division applications and application utilities
• Manage and develops upgrades to company’s factoring system
• Responds to escalated help desk issues
• Manages the purchasing of all software, hardware and other IT supplies
• Oversees the administration and maintenance of computer stations and software
• Oversees the administration of the company’s network and infrastructure
• Interact with internal users and external clients on all levels to help resolve IT-related issues and provides answers in a timely manner
• Hands on development and troubleshoot of company’s information systems
• Supervise and manage internal technical staff
• Supervise and manage outsourced resources
• Escalate issues to Chief Operations Officer or Chief Executive Officer
Disaster Recovery:
• Ensure disaster recovery plans adequately reflect the needs of the system
• Develop, and review all back-up and disaster recover procedures and plans
• Establishes disaster recovery testing methodologies; plans and coordinates the testing of recovery support and business resumption procedures in different functional areas. Assures that recovery procedures are effective for the restoration of key corporate resources and for the resumption of critical business processes.
• Conducts disaster recovery training for staff members in all functional areas. Provides instructional and informational materials on how associates are expected to respond during an emergency. Assists divisions in the assignment and training of staff. Develops and maintains standards and procedures for disaster recovery documentation. Maintains a library of recovery support and business resumption procedures.
• Works with vendors of disaster recovery services and facilities; studies and recommends outside services for use during a disaster situation. Maintains contact with outside contingency planning professional organizations and local/regional emergency response groups.

• Serves as main point of contact on all IT-related matters
• Plan computer systems budget
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
Experience:
At least 10 years of experience in as IT Manager.
Supervision Given:
Senior Software Engineer, IT System Administrator, Help Desk
Supervision Received:
Chief Operations Officer
Travel:
As required.
Special Requirements:
