Daily job duties of human resources specialists include: • Preparing or updating employment records related to hiring, transferring, promoting, and terminating • Explaining human resources policies, procedures, laws, and standards to new and existing employees • Ensuring new hire paperwork is completed and processed • Informing job applicants of job duties, responsibilities, benefits, schedules, working conditions, promotion opportunities, etc. • Addressing any employment relations issues, such as work complaints and harassment allegations • Processing all personnel action forms and ensuring proper approval • Overseeing hiring process, which includes coordinating job posts, reviewing resumes, and performing reference checks HR Specialist Roles • Workforce Planning and Employment o Implementing the organization’s recruiting strategy o Interviewing applicants o Administering pre-employment tests o Assisting with completing background investigations o Processing transfers, promotions, and terminations • HR Development o Conducting training sessions o Administering on-the-job training programs o Evaluating the effectiveness of training programs o Maintaining records of employee participation in all training and development programs • Total Rewards o Analyzing job duties o Writing job descriptions o Performing job evaluations and job analyses o Conducting and analyzing compensation surveys Requirements and Qualifications • BS/BA in business administration or relevant field. • Language : Korean/English Bilingual • Successful work experience as a Human Resources Specialist, officer, administrator or other HR position. • Strong working knowledge of HR functions and procedures (e.g. pay and benefits, recruitment, training, and development). • Commitment to staying current on understanding of labor laws and disciplinary procedures. • Proficient in Microsoft Office, knowledge of HRMS is a plus. • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills. • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills. • Aptitude for critical thinking, problem solving, and decision making. • Strength of character, ethics, and commitment, and reliability. • HR Credentials (e.g. PHR from the HR Certification Institute).
