Full job description
HK Laser & Systems is currently seeking a Field Service Technician to join our service team at our Bartlett, IL office. This position will be responsible for installing and servicing CNC laser cutting systems. Successful candidate will also be responsible for maintaining good customer relationships by demonstrating excellent customer service. This position involves a high volume of travel, face-to-face customer contact, and reports to the Service Manager.

This position is with benefits.

3+yrs work experience is preferred.

Roles and Responsibilities

– Serve existing customers by analyzing work orders, planning daily travel schedule, investigating complaints, conducting tests, resolving problems.
– Perform service by studying system requirements, ordering and gathering components and parts, completing installations, performing acceptance tests.
– Maintains rapport with customers by examining complaints, identifying solutions, suggesting improved methods and techniques, recommending system improvements.
– Operate tools and equipment by adhering to company safety regulations: Troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, performing preventive maintenance, calling for repairs.
– Documents service and installation procedures by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.
– Protect customer privacy by keeping service information confidential.
– Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading professional publications.
– Accomplishes operations and organization mission by completing related results as needed. Position Requirements

* Travel Percentage: 90%.
* Have access to an automobile for business travel.
* Possess working knowledge in MS Office. Pay will be discussed prior to hire.
* West Coast or Midwest region is preferred but not necessary
