Korean Bilingual Hotel Human Resources/Payroll Supervisor
Position Summary:We are currently seeking a highly motivated individual with HR and Payroll experience for 3~5 years, preferably in Hawaii. Korean-Bilingual is a MUST.
We are a hotel management company with experience in limited & full service hotels across major brands such as Marriott, Starwood, Radisson, Intercontinental, Carlson, and more.We are an entrepreneurial, performance-based, goal oriented organization, where passionate, competent and focused individuals are given the tools, guidance and techniques to make a difference. Based in Los Angeles, California, we operate hotels across the United States.The Human Resources/Payroll Supervisor’s responsibilities include, but not limited to;· Processing Payroll (20%)o collecting timecards from each dept headso review hours / corrections / OT approvalso paycheck distributiono make payroll / expense reporto health care deductiono garnishment (childcare or tax withholding)· Maintain Employee Files (10%)o hiring processo separation process· Employee Relations (20%)o counseling/disciplinary action/warning lettero conduct performance evaluationo answers to employee’s general concerns· Handle Employee Benefits (10%)o medical, dental, TDI, all other insuranceso vacation, sick trackingo 401k management and reporting· Union (10%)o be aware of union benefit, shift, classificationo union due calculation / paymento union health care calculation / payment· Misc (10%)o Staff Meeting Agenda/Minuteso labor law compliances – federal/state law poster, legislation changeso Unemployment Insurance – employment/wage verification, claims, filesAdmin/Accounting Task (20%)· General Accto Cash count, bank deposit, run errands.o Assist dept managers for special projectso Assist corporate office managers for special projectsRequirements:
• 3~5 years experience in HR & Payroll• Four years college degree preferred but not required• Must have prior experience with payroll, preferably in Paychex Preview or Ceridian• Basic knowledge of any PMS (Roommaster preferred) a big plus• Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and be familiar with operating a computer
• Korean bilingual or basic Korean speaking is a must• Prior experience in hotel a big plus but not required
· Location: Honolulu, Waikiki, Hawaii· Compensation: $35~40K DOE, vacation, sick, 401k with matching, hotel discounts, and more
