    Korean Bilingual Hotel Human Resources/Payroll Supervisor

     

    Position Summary:

    We are currently seeking a highly motivated individual with HR and Payroll experience for 3~5 years, preferably in Hawaii. Korean-Bilingual is a MUST.

     

    We are a hotel management company with experience in limited & full service hotels across major brands such as Marriott, Starwood, Radisson, Intercontinental, Carlson, and more.

    The Human Resources/Payroll Supervisor’s responsibilities include, but not limited to;


    ·         Processing Payroll (20%)

    o   collecting timecards from each dept heads

    o   review hours / corrections / OT approvals

    o   paycheck distribution

    o   make payroll / expense report    

    o   health care deduction

    o   garnishment (childcare or tax withholding)

     

    ·         Maintain Employee Files (10%)

    o   hiring process

    o   separation process

     

    ·         Employee Relations (20%)

    o   counseling/disciplinary action/warning letter

    o   conduct performance evaluation

    o   answers to employee’s general concerns

     

    ·         Handle Employee Benefits (10%)

    o   medical, dental, TDI, all other insurances

    o   vacation, sick tracking

    o   401k management and reporting

     

    ·         Union (10%)

    o   be aware of union benefit, shift, classification

    o   union due calculation / payment

    o   union health care calculation / payment

     

    ·         Misc (10%)

    o   Staff Meeting Agenda/Minutes

    o   labor law compliances – federal/state law poster, legislation changes

    o   Unemployment Insurance – employment/wage verification, claims, files

     

     

    Admin/Accounting Task (20%)

    ·         General Acct

    o   Cash count, bank deposit, run errands.

    o   Assist dept managers for special projects

    o   Assist corporate office managers for special projects

    Requirements:
    • 3~5 years experience in HR & Payroll

    • Four years college degree preferred but not required

    • Must have prior experience with payroll, preferably in Paychex Preview or Ceridian

    • Basic knowledge of any PMS (Roommaster preferred) a big plus

    • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and be familiar with operating a computer
    • Korean bilingual or basic Korean speaking is a must

    • Prior experience in hotel a big plus but not required
