    H Mart, a prominent and fast-growing Korean-American supermarket company is seeking a paralegal/legal assistant to support Corporate Counsel in our headquarters located in Lyndhurst, NJ.

    Job Overview:

    – Providing day-to-day administrative support to Corporate Counsel
    – Creating professional correspondences, emails, letters, presentations, reports, statistics and various documents using MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
    – Verifying legal fees/expenses documentation and submit for payment/reimbursement.
    – Assisting counsel in administering/negotiating commercial leases and subleases/licenses; including,
    – Communicating with landlords, tenants, and outside professionals
    – Managing various commercial real estate documents/contracts
    – Summarizing key terms; monitoring key dates; and data entry
    – Pursuing delinquent rent claims against defaulting tenants/subtenants.
    – Creating status report
    – Assisting counsel in handling various claims against the company and case management.
    – Assist with special company projects as required.

    Qualifications:

    – Must be bilingual in English and Korean.
    – 0-3 years’ of relevant career background.
    – Bachelor’s degree in related field from an accredited college or university.
    – Excellent PC skills (MS Office with an emphasis on Word and Excel)
    – Strong communication (written/verbal) and interpersonal skills with the ability to interface/communicate with executives, store managers, staffs as well as outsiders.
    – Self-starter with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
    – Ability to handle confidential and sensitive material/communications
    – Performing multiple tasks and shifting focus and priority as needs arise.
    – Establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
    – Positive and flexible attitude.
