This position reports directly to the President and has full responsibility for generating, estimating, purchasing and reviewing construction cost data for accounting, field staff, and vendors for the purpose of constructing projects in a consistent, cost-effective manner.

Qualifications
• 5+ year’s construction field experience in the rehabilitation and renovation of multi-family apartment complexes, single family homes, town homes, condominium, and commercial tenant improvements.
• Field experience as a Project Manager and/or familiarity with construction bid process
• Must be familiar with California building codes
• Conceptual and Hard-Bid estimating
• Experience with Design/Build projects
• A strong and successful track record of the presentation process
• Ability to make decisions with and without consensus when necessary
• Ability to address difficult situations and conflicts with clients and subcontractors amicably
• To identify project materials and negotiate pricing with suppliers
• Must have previous experience managing multiple personnel
• Must be willing to travel
• Multifamily residential and commercial tenant improvement construction experience preferred

Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will be energetic, motivated, organized, and possess a strong work ethic. Responsible for building relationships with potential customers, estimating the cost of the project, negotiating prices with the customer, purchasing material for the project, and following the project through to the finished product. Must be able to work within the limits of an established company’s policies and procedures.

Relocation is available, local candidates given preference.
