    TUASE (Taeho Um & Associates, Structural Engineers) has an immediate opening for Entry level structural engineer.

    Our firm has extensive experience on a variety of school projects for the Oakland Unified School District. In addition to providing design services for new construction and seismic retrofit of residential and commercial, we also work on anchorage support projects for numerous industrial facilities in Northern California on regular basis. Our Services includes structural analysis and design for residential, commercial, educational and health care facility projects.

    Job Title: Entry Level Structural Engineer
    Type of Position : full-time

    Minimum Requirements:

    BS Civil Engineering with emphasis in Structural Engineering or MS in Structural Engineering. EIT required. Working experience with AutoCAD is mandatory. Capable of functioning with spreadsheet, word processing, and standard office software and structural engineering software (RISA/ ETABS/ STAAD etc) is required. Experience with Autodesk REVIT is desirable.

    Job Description:

    Prepare structural calculation and construction documents. Work assignments would include
    • seismic analysis and design of wood, steel, masonry and concrete structures;
    • 2D and 3D analysis of structure using structural analysis software;
    • prepare construction documents;
    • seismic retrofit and evaluation;
    • equipment anchorage design;
    • construction administration;
    • development of technical reports;
    • prepare project specification

    Candidates must be
    • team orientated;
    • excellent in oral and written communication skills;
    • able to interact well with all levels of professional staff;
    • strong in analytical and problem solving skills.
    • having a good knowledge of current building code
    • able to interpret structural calculations and construction drawings
    • DSA and OSHPD experience is desirable
