Overall Job Title Electrical Resident Engineer Department Electronic Design Team Report to Electronic Design Team Lead Location NAEC Type of Position ■ Full-time □ Part-time □ Contractor □ Intern II. Detail Description II-1. General Description The resident design release engineer is a system engineer who understand hardware, software and system mechanism as well. Release drawing and software data to customer system using customer’ tool in a timely manner. This includes the writing, processing, and implementation of engineering work orders (EWOs) Documentation/coordination of design changes. This requires working with breakpoint coordinators and/or engineers from various departments II-2. Key Roles and Responsibilities 1) Release parts into customer’s system 2) Math/Drawing review, sign off, and submission 3) Ordering and tracking of part deliveries 4) Documentation/coordination of design changes 5) Create/update/obtain approval for configuration workbooks and/or calibration documentation 6) Vehicle and bench testing and updates when hardware, software, and/or calibrations are made 7) Support of pre-production vehicle builds with component and hardware deliveries 8) Run and support vehicle diagnostics for trouble shooting issues that may occur at a vehicle and/or at a sub-system level 9) Support all vehicle tests at plant for line-testing and EMC/ENV testing. 10) Support all launch activities at the assembly plants. 11) Support and maintain DFMEA 12) Hold/Lead PDT meeting and Attend all releated customer meeting and warranty review. 13) Perform packaging studies 14) Create ICD (interface control documents) 15) Be able to reflash whenever required 16) Support calibration, Troublshooting using diagnosis tool and report to supplier and customer II-3. Job Requirements II-3-1. Work Experience 1) More than 5 years of experience in Systems Engineering (Complex Systems) 2) 3) II-3-2. Education 1) BSEE or related such as BSCE, BSCS 2) Ability to understand software function in detail and apply those functions to vehicle applications 3) Minimum 3 years in the Automotive Industry 4) Emphasis on team work, good communication skills, readiness to travel on test trips 5) Ability to understand hardware schematic and development process II-3-3.
