Description of Position:
Employee that takes on complete oversight and control of all personnel, safety, financials, activities, and inventory associated with the receiving, storage, and fulfillment of Simple Global client’s products in the California location.

Primary Job Functions and Responsibilities:

General Management
• Management responsibility for California warehouse location.
• Oversights to ensure all employees are doing their jobs correctly, thoroughly, and on time.
• Develop and implement new procedures/processes to increase fulfillment speed, efficiency and accuracy.
• Ability to prioritize important and non-important tasks on a daily basis to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Single source of communication between Customer Service and Warehouse Staff.
• Daily and/or weekly meetings with management to report warehouse operational results.
• Conduct monthly quality and safety training for all employees including employee training
• Responsible for overall warehouse safety and quality
• Maintain and or oversea the following Daily Reports
1) Daily KPI Report
2) Warehouse Weekly Report (Daily)

Inventory Management
• Receiving of inventory in warehouse, ensuring completion of receiving form and emailing receiving form to customers. Documentation and quarantine of any damaged inventory.
• Inventory movement within the warehouse. E.g. Moving inventory from WH 1 to WH 2 as needed to feed the fulfillment line.
• End of day inventory accuracy based on items shipped.
• Maintain the following Reports:
1) Daily Warehouse Inventory Report
2) Inventory Movement Form
3) Inventory Daily Report

Management of California Fulfillment Line
• Ensuring there are enough packaging material to fulfill orders and ordering what supplies are required.
• Managing manpower by recruiting, interviewing and selecting employees to ensure all roles are filled and customer demand is met.
• Warehouse and inventory security.
• Ensuring all items requiring to be shipped within that business day are actually shipped.
• Ensuring all orders are package and shipped according to customer specific requirements.
• Estimate, stage, oversee and/or complete Work Orders.
• Develop and maintain the following Reports:
1) Warehouse Training Plan: for all existing and new employees

Warehouse Organization
• Maintaining warehouse condition and organization/housekeeping.
• Use industry standards to optimize warehouse layout and adjust it according to package volume fluctuations.
• Maintain the following:
o Warehouse Layout: that shows location of all equipment and fulfillment flow within warehouse.

Skills:
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Organization and Planning Skills
• Ability to train and develop employees

Qualifications
• 3 to 5 years managing in a warehouse or fulfillment environment
• Lean or Six Sigma background preferred
• Forklift certification or past experience on a forklift with ability to acquire forklift certification within 10 days after hire
• College degree or equivalent experience in Operations Management
