Development for International to help guide NexTag’s entry into new
markets, applying NexTag’s successful blueprint already in use across
many countries. The selected candidate will be responsible for
conducting research, understanding the e-commerce landscape, assessing
the viability of comparison shopping, and proposing the entry strategy
and plans. The individual also will be responsible for managing NexTag’s
launch within those markets, including developing partnerships with
in-market companies and working across Content, Engineering, and other

JOB: DIRECTOR, BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT, INTERNATIONAL
Responsibilities:
- Conduct research on and thoroughly understand online shopping in new markets.
- Assess the landscape and dynamics of consumers, customers, and competition.
- Develop NexTag’s entry strategy and propose to senior executives.
- Identify potential partners and conduct business development discussions with them.
- Apply NexTag’s successful blueprint in comparison shopping and tailor it to new markets.
- Negotiate in-market partnerships.
- Work with executive management to define, launch, and drive
business initiatives as they relate to the company’s strategic plan. - Project manage new market launches, working cross-functionally with other teams.
- Analyze monthly revenue initiatives by category and score monthly performance in relation to such initiatives.
- Work with Corporate Development team on potential acquisitions
and provide business planning, analysis and forecasting to C-level
executive management.
Requirements:
- 6+ years experience analyzing foreign markets and companies,
preferably in the Internet, telecom, or consumer retail space;
investment banking or management consulting experience ideal. - Highly motivated self-starter with a strong work ethic; thrives
in a dynamic and small team environment where you must take on multiple
responsibilities and get things done. - Superb analytical, quantitative and research skills a must.
- Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work well across an organization and at all levels.
- Experience with and sensitivity to foreign business cultures.
- Strong project management skills with the ability work with multiple groups to drive a project to completion.
- Fluent in the language and culture of either Korea or Brazil.
- General knowledge of Internet company business models and their relevant metrics strongly preferred.
- BA/BS from a top-tier university. Top MBA strongly preferred.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Some travel to new markets is required.
