Now Editing “Development Specialist” Name * Password * Email Topic Title (Maximum Length 80) Company * Location Expires at Job Summary: The primary role of the Development Specialist is to develop and implement optimal, cost-effective manufacturing processes and methods in accordance with product specifications and quality standards. Responsibilities: - Recommends and implement improvements to production processes, methods and controls. - Coordinate manufacturing launch for new or revised products. - Support and coordinate on site engineering activities. - Responsible for multiple highly complex major projects requiring innovative original solutions where results are key to successful completion of major projects. - Works mostly independently with minimal supervision and work is reviewed at project milestones and/or on completion by Senior Management. - Performs research, design and development of manufacturing processes including production flow, assembly methods and production plans - Equipment preparation and maintains detailed layouts of building and equipment. - Ensure compliance with industrial standards, legal requirements, local and national regulations. - Coordinates the manufacturing launch of new/revised products including establishing goals, training team members and evaluating results - Gives input to product design based on design for manufacture/design for assembly. - Designs, develops and tests and/or sources and cost-justify various tools, machinery and equipment for recommended manufacturing methods. - Performs product/process analysis for cost reduction, quality improvement and improved efficiency. - Coordinate, develop and document quality system for new programs (control plan, PFMEA, process flow, work instructions and inspection plans.) - Coordinate and document all Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) activities. - Participate in the development and refinement of Design and Process FMEA’s (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) - Other duties as assigned. Skills/Requirements: - Proficient in MicroSoft Office products required - Drafting software such as CAD preferred - Remain flexible in order to adapt to changes in work environment. - Excellent time-management, problem-solving and interpersonal skills. - Must be punctual and reliable.
