Localization QA Lead

The Localization QA Lead will be
responsible for managing localization QA activities for KACE/Dell
products. The successful candidate must have previous software
globalization QA, vendor, and project management experience, be
technically competent, analytical, creative, hands-on and flexible.
He/she should also have the ability to multi-task, work within budget,
under tight deadlines and across time zones, be passionate about
localization and an advocate for the end-user.

Responsibilities

* Define the overall localization QA strategy for a given release and project scoping

*
Manage the localization QA activities from product inception-to-ship –
test planning, test design/development, manual and automated test
execution, bug reporting and verification

* Write localization test plan based on Core/English test plan and product specification

* Review Core/English test cases and identify localization test cases

* Responsible for providing locale-specific test cases based on product specification

* Participate in internationalization and localization bug evaluation and triage

* Review the localized software and product documentation

* Manage localization QA vendor and maintain daily contact to ensure that key project issues are understood and addressed

* Lead weekly localization QA meetings to discuss status on current and upcoming projects

Job Requirements

Qualifications

* 3 – 5 years experience as globalization QA

* Previous experience managing localization projects in a wide range of environments (Windows, Linux, Mac, etc.)

* B.S. Degree required

* Strong system technical knowledge.

* Intensive working experience in PHP, HTML, Java Script, Virtue Machine, and their impact on localization

* Fluency in one of the following languages: German, French, or Japanese

* A thorough knowledge of the globalization industry and QA methodology

* Ability to multi-task and manage several projects simultaneously

*
A strong understanding of internationalization and localization product
requirements, Asian and European markets and terminology

* Must be able to work productively with remote teams in different time zones

* Ability to thrive under pressure and function effectively in a fast-paced environment
