Now Editing “Cost Accountant” Name * Password * Email Topic Title (Maximum Length 80) Company * Location Expires at COST ACCOUNTANT - (Assistant) Managerial position <strong>Company Name</strong>: Samsung SDI America <strong>Location</strong>: Detroit, Michigan <strong>Salary</strong>: DOE <strong>Description</strong>: In this role, you'll be utilizing your technical accounting expertise to provide the following support: - Cost accounting - Cost analysis - Financial accounting - Month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing - Monthly, quarterly balance sheet and P & L Fluctuation Analysis - Monthly expense variance analysis - Inter-company transactions and reconciliations - Ensure accuracy of financial statements in accordance with IFRS/ US GAAP and compliance to internal policies - Income Statement analysis including horizontal and vertical analysis - Balance sheet accounts reconciliations - Government reporting including US census - Payroll accounting – understanding and posting journal entries - A/R, A/P management (possible A/R collection) - Interface with management in various departments, including engineering, sales operations, IT and legal. <strong>Qualifications and Experience</strong>: - Engineering service accounting experience is a plus - Deadline oriented - Strong desire and willingness to learn - Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
