Job Description • Responsible for process improvements and daily manufacturing engineering support including analysis of breakdown and repairs • Perform modifications to existing machine controls as necessary to improve quality and throughput. • Assist in developing yearly business plans for the manufacturing area • Assure adherence to the TS-16949 plant and company procedures • Support continuous improvement activities including Production System lean manufacturing activities • Develop and prepare capital projects for the assembly & test area, assist with the quote process for new projects 2. Required Education, Skills and Experience • BS degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering • 5 years’ demonstrated experience with industrial controls & mechanical systems • 5 years’ PLC programming and troubleshooting and advanced proficiency in the use of computers and electronic testing equipment. • Tool and fixture design experience a plus • Strong organizational skills, high energy, sense of urgency, bias toward action and strong self-empowerment • Demonstrated history of increasing productivity in a high volume assembly environment • Ability and desire to provide daily "hands-on" floor support and continuous improvement of floor support documentation (PFMEA, Control Plans, Flow Diagrams, Work Standards, Standard Work Instructions, Value Stream Maps) • Experience in solving in solving manufacturing issues, knowledge of SPC, Gage R&R & process capability indices • Computer skills, AutoCAD and Microsoft Office software &MiniTab a plus 3.
