Summary:
Support and assist the Quality Control Manager as needed. Coordinate quality control functions to ensure products are built within customer and company quality specifications while maintaining production flow. Provide technical and quality control support to other departments including Production, Materials and Planning to achieve cusotmer satisfaction and least cost production.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
– Supervise and perform the daily activities required to coordinate the quality control function in compliance with company goals and objectives. Supervise the Quality Control Department staff according to company policies and procedures. Develop employees by training, cross-training, and providing continuing education opportunities.
-Manage inspectors to perform the planned activities for BIW, PIB inspection and sign off.
-Lead problem solving activities; drive follow-up and closure of countermeasures to meet KPI targets.
-Take actions required to accurately measure quality.
-Manage vendors to supply high quality parts to production lines continuously.
-Administer, coordinate, and comply with all Quality Management Systems (QMS) and Environmental Management Systems (EMS) requirements.
-Claim the defective parts and request improvement.
-Maintaining and setting up documentation and control procedures.
-Manage and control assigned projects, issues, and provide progress reports by required deadlines.
-Conducts training sessions with production team leaders on product changes or defects.
-Other duties as assigned.Skills /Requirements:
-Strong verbal, written, analytical and interpersonal skills.
-Ability to organize and prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
-Ability to plan and set up the part quality activities.
-Good team building and motivation skills for leadership.
-Candidate shall also possess a willingness to work with a diverse group and adapt to cultural differences.
-Must be able to wear various types of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
-Ability to adapt flexibly in a fast paced environment.
-Ability to work within a team environment.
-Excellent analytical, prioritization, delegation and multitasking skills.Education/Training /Experience :
-Bachelor’s degree in engineering, quality or technology or 8-10 years progressive experience in Manufacturing and Quality Assurance.
-Management experience required.
-3 – 7 years experience in automotive industry.
-More than 4 years in Quality Control field.
-Experience of part quality assurance and new part approval.Software skills required:
