Manages and coordinates all units of the operation. <strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</strong> •Supervise the activities of all subordinates in the Warehouse operation including daily work schedules and all related personnel issues. •Analyze and control all exported inventory functions including approval of all Purchase Orders, changes inventory items and levels, and eventual surplus of necessary items and ensure that accurate, complete records are kept regarding consumption, cost and selling price. •Managing and controlling all the company’s external suppliers with particular emphasis on the purchase of Materials and finished parts for production. •Ensure parts and materials are bought at the most competitive price and delivered on time for production. •Establish strategic relationships with key suppliers who are aligned to the company’s needs. •Confer with managers of other departments to coordinate flow of products. •Maintain material costs to assure company targets are met. This includes spend, usage, scrap, inventory levels, etc. •Proactive liaison with other departments as needed to forecast, plan to meet, and to supply demand •Negotiation and administration of purchasing contracts •Responsible for the operating budget of the materials management department and the material handling department. •Analyze reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. •Effectively present information and respond to questions either one-on-one or from groups of managers, or employees. •Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables. •Interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram or schedule form. •Analyze interpret and resolve performance issues. •Other duties as assigned. <strong>Skills /Requirements:</strong> •Strong leadership skills and excellent communication skills both oral and written •Must have strong negotiation, decision-making and analytical skills. •Ability to take a proactive approach to overcome challenges and achieve results •Results orientated and confident •Ability to adapt flexibly in a fast paced team environment. •Bi-Lingual in Korean and English preferred. •Sill in developing and maintaining effective working relationships. <strong>Education/Training/Experience:</strong> •Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a 4 year college or university or equivalent experience •2-4 years prior supervisory/management experience in materials management/inventory control or related experience. •Prior automotive experience preferred and/or equivalent combination of education and experience. •Must have previous experience in automotive materials management specifically in import materials.
