    General Summary:
    Direct supplier quality development and improvement activity as required for all production parts

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES (including but not limited to accountabilities below):

    •Lead, guide, and direct the supplier quality development group to ensure smooth production launch for vehicles
    •Develop, implement, and monitor a system for supplier development activities that aligns with organizational strategic goals and objectives
    •Manage supplier launch activities and readiness by coordinating process audits, conducting supplier training, kaizen activity, technical analyses and reviews
    •Record and maintain a supplier readiness database to review with Senior Management throughout the development process
    •Support the commercial parts development team for all cost reductions, VE (Value Engineering)/VA (Value Analysis), and benchmarking activities
    •Assist Quality Control with part failure analyses and problem resolutions as pertaining to supplier quality including production and warranty
    •Implement where applicable, lean manufacturing concepts to ensure highly efficient supplier plant locations
    •Review and present countermeasures
    •Perform other duties as required

    QUALIFICATIONS and JOB REQUIREMENTS (Education, Experience, Competencies):

    •Bachelor’s Degree in Technical Discipline or related field along with five (5) to eight (8) years of progressive experience in the quality control, assurance or development field in a manufacturing environment preferably within the automotive industry, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
    •OEM or parts components supplier experience strongly preferred
    •Experience in a leadership or supervisory role
    •Excellent written and verbal communication, analytical and organizational skills a must
    •Long-term planning and strategy development
    •Demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others
    •Ability to self-perform, identify priorities and take appropriate action consistent with company objective

    SPECIALIZED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED

    •In depth knowledge of Quality Systems such as PPAP (Product Parts Approval Process), DFMEA (Design Failure Mode and Effective Analysis), PFMEA (Process Failure Mode and Effective Analysis), PSO (Process Sign Off), SIX SIGMA, APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning), ISIR (Initial Sample Inspection Report), SPC (Statistical Process Control), QS9000 and ISO (International Organization for Standardization) is required
    •CQE (Certified Quality Engineer) or CQA (Certified Quality Auditor) certification preferred
    •Experience working with word processor, spreadsheet, database, and presentation applications and/or software
    •Bilingual (English/Korean)
