Job Descriptions:
– Responsible individual under minimal supervision, who has the ability to provide technical analysis of new products being launched into North America.
– Assist in the concept, development, preparation and critical review of technical reports, technical documents, test procedures, user guides, installation and maintenance manuals.
– Using common Project Management principles, this role will manage multiple projects, update required reports and keep management apprised of all product launches.
– In addition, this individual will coordinate any additional service tools testing with the Engineering Team to ensure a successful product launch while meeting all deliverables.
– Responsibilities also include the establishment of effective working relationships with MPC Engineering Teams, sales, and field testing personnel in order to drive product development and the product schedule successes.
– Representing the most common entry point for this career level. Learns to use concepts and apply company established practices and processes to deliver work under general supervision.
– Perform teardown analysis of all phones, tablets and watches, which identifies potential improvements to repair serviceability constraints during reverse engineering analysis.
– Provides detailed analysis and report to senior level of management based on findings. Collaborate with engineering team to improve next generation repair productivity and to enhance the quality of product performance.
– Communicate with engineering management to ensure overall launch readiness. Interfaces with product management to deliver product road maps and launch timings. Identifies potential performance problems and disseminates pertinent technical and repair information to appropriate SEA personnel.
– Will manage and create service production BOM (Bill of material) based on model and service process.
– Shares improvements and experiences in product troubleshooting, failure analysis, diagnostics and repair techniques with service team members and supervisors, to improve repair productivity which will enhance the quality of product performance. Using relevant technologies (WCDMA, GSM, CDMA, LTE) perform electronics testing.Background/Requirements:
– Bachelor’s Degree in engineering with 2-4 years of directly related experience is required.
– Prior experience with selection, maintenance and application of electronic and RF test equipment (scopes, multi-meters, CDMA/GSM test, etc.) preferred.
– Prior experience in the telecommunications industry preferred. Strong project management skills and the ability to prioritize in a complex working environment. Comprehensive use of Microsoft Office applications operating in a Windows XP.
– Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects.
– The ability to develop and maintain excellent working relationships with multiples levels within the company and with external contacts.
– Must be able to influence others in acceptance, approval and to provide technical clarification.
– The ability to gather and analyze data from multiple sources, prepare spreadsheets, charts, graphs and tables of information and to plan and prioritize multiple work assignments.
– The ability to read, provide written critical technical review and prepare reports, technical manuals, test procedures and technical product repair information. Demonstrated English/Korean language competency in both oral and written communication modes for both internal and external communications.
– Work under very little supervision and guidance to identify and ensure achievement of production team goals and to complete individual work assignments within established time frames.Necessary Skills / Attributes:
– Work will generally be performed in an office, lab, warehouse, or repair facility environment.
– May operate PC and product test equipment between 50% – 100% in an alternating sedentary and highly mobile position. Lift, move, or adjust general test equipment, boxes, supplies, materials or products weighing up to 50 pounds using proper materials handling equipment and procedures.
– High level of visual acuity, numeric/character distinction and moderate color distinction for accurate test equipment operation, for information analysis and error recognition. High hand/finger dexterity with fine motor coordination skills to perform electronic component repair work.
– Machines, tools, equipment, and work aids representative and commonly associated with electronic component test, assembly and repair work including test equipment, testing devices, technician hand tools, cables, etc; first aid kit is available and prescription safety glasses are required in certain test areas.
– May require working additional hours beyond normal schedule. Travel varies depending on the situation.
