    Duties

    The Windows System Administrator (SA) will be responsible for installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of system hardware to include desktop PCs, servers, software and related infrastructure.  The individual must have strong 2nd level helpdesk technical support skills with extensive troubleshooting experience.  The individual will participate in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure.

     

    Qualifications

    Technical Skills/Requirements:

    ·         Work with team to administer and provide 2nd level support for more than 1500 desktops, laptops, servers and printers to investigate and resolve hardware and software issues.

    ·         Work with end-point protection technologies like Symantec Antivirus/Symantec Endpoint Protection and Windows Software Update Services to ensure all systems are protected.

    ·         Experience with imaging processes and solutions using tools like Ghost and Window Deployment Services to set up and customize new or replacement computers.

    ·         Extensive troubleshooting experience; an expert troubleshooter unwilling to let a problem defeat you.

    ·         Understanding of Active Directory administration and structure, as well as knowledge of file/folder/share level permissions.

    ·         Work daily with 1st level support desk personnel, other system and network administrators and managers.

    ·         Document processes and system configurations as required.

    ·         Handle additional responsibilities as delegated.

    ·         Bachelor degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field; or equivalent experience like 2 to 4 years experience in a desktop/software support and administration role.
