ㅁLocation: San Jose, CA, Austin, TX, or Phoenix, AZ, USA
ㅁReports to: Head of R&D CenterJob Responsibilities:
ㅁDevelop and simulate RF systems and multidisciplinary plasma phenomena, including plasma discharge, diffusion (density & distribution), neutral gas dynamics, heat and mass transfer, and plasma chemistry.
ㅁConduct modeling, numerical analyses, and simulations to address complex plasma processes in semiconductor equipment.
ㅁApply fundamental physics, advanced modeling, and simulation techniques to support tool design from concept and feasibility studies to root cause analysis and optimization.
ㅁCreate plasma models and validation techniques to improve accuracy and predictability for specific semiconductor applications.
ㅁUtilize commercial and open-source simulation codes, developing custom scripts as necessary to optimize simulations.
ㅁIntegrate machine learning, data science, and optimization methods to enhance the impact and efficiency of plasma models.
ㅁCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams, solving technical challenges and communicating complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
ㅁDevelop best practices and workflows for recurring plasma processing problems, ensuring consistent and effective simulations.Qualifications:
ㅁPhD in Nuclear Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Material Sciences, or Aerospace Engineering.
ㅁExpertise in at least two of the following areas:
ㅁComputational Plasma Physics and Numerical Methods (Fluid & Kinetic-based)
ㅁComputational Plasma Chemistry & Material Physics
ㅁComputational Fluid Dynamics, Heat and Mass Transfer, and Reactive Flows
Pㅁrogramming and machine learning applications
ㅁExperience working with laboratory data, analyzing experiments, and applying insights to simulation models.Benefits:
