Air Jordan 11 Low COOL GREY | PE for MJ

We’ve seen a few lowtop XIs before, but never this particular shade of classic. Behold, the Air Jordan 11 Low Cool Grey, a PE put together for the man himself: Michael Jordan.

The shoe is . . . exactly what you’d think, for the most part. The iconic “Cool Grey” palette translates beautifully, with light grey throughout the upper, darker grey on the signature patent leather mudguard, white on the midsole, and a clean translucent outsole.

We Went to the Hair and Made Tests at BCBG and Herve Leger

Tomorrow morning, the official Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week schedule will kick off with cheap herve leger BCBG Max Azria’s Spring 2014 runway show. And then, for the next month, prepare to be bombarded by high-octane fashion images on this website and others.

To get a glimpse of how frenzied Fashion Week preparations can get, today we attended the hair and makeup tests for Kirsty Gallacher Herve Leger Asymmetric Rosette Bandage Dress and sister label, Herve Leger.And Because photographs from tomorrow’s runway will beam all over the world almost instantaneously and will then screen practically on loop a video of last season’s BCBG show greeted me in the reception area into next year, the stakes for tomorrow’s show are high. Air Jordan XX8 SE Christmas

Having now debuted the entire Jordan Brand Christmas 2013 collection, today we take another, incredibly detailed look at perhaps the line-up’s crown jewel: the Air Jordan XX8 SE Christmas.

The exact inspiration for this shoe (and the entire Christmas Jordan set, for that matter) eludes, us though the mishmash of graph-like lines and concentric circles points toward a geometric or mathematical theme. Something involving flight, perhaps?

Whatever it is, I think we can all agree — well, I can agree, anyway — that the mix of a black upper, colorful graphics, reflective leather, and speckled midsole may just yield the best XX8 SE of the year.

The Jordan Brand Christmas 2013 line-up was already looking impressive — having previously previewed the yuletide Air Jordan XX8 SE, CP3.VII and Super.Fly 2 — and today it only gets more so, as we add a fleeting glimpse of the Jordan Melo M10 Christmas.

All four shoes sport colorful speckling on the midsole as well as reflective silver leather incorporated in some manner, while at least three — it’s still unclear with regards to the M10 — also utilize graph-like imagery to add colorful contrast.

Nike Zoom Kobe Venomenon 4 Teal/Volt

It would seem that the Venomenon 4 that released today, the first in the Asia-exclusive franchise to actually hit stateside retailers, will not be the only one.

Perhaps intended as a budget-friendlier Kobe, considering the $225 price tag of the Kobe 9 Elite, several more Venomenons will drop in the US in the foreseeable future, including this so-called Nike Zoom Kobe Venomenon 4 Teal/Volt.

The shoe dons teal over the Flywire-reinforced Hyperfuse upper, set against volt on the outsole and accents. Grey neutrally complements on the tongue, midsole and toe-pattern, rounding out the outdoor-specific hoops shoe. (You can wear them indoors as well, but the Blade Traction outdoor is specially designed to stand-up to outdoor courts.)
