total loss는 수리비가 차의 value보다 더 높이 나올 때 보험회사에서 폐차처분하는 것입니다. 그 이유는 사고, 도난, 침수, 등 여러가지 이유가 있는데 1년반된 차의 잔존가치보다 더 수리비가 높다면 큰 수리를 요하는 것이 겠지요. accident라는 글자가 없다고 사고차량이 아니라고 생각하는 듯 하는데 좀 순진한 생각입니다.

차에대해서 잘 모르면 아예 생각하지 마세요. 머리 많이 복잡해지고 정비소 자주 들락거릴 수 있습니다.
