를 발견하고 딕테이션을 해 봤는데 몇 군데가 잘 안 들립니다. 아래 빨간 부분들인데 한 수 가르쳐 주시면 감사하겠습니다.

둘째것은 맞은 것 같은데, 대개 add-on이라고 많이 쓰더라구요..

저도 flattening이라 들리구요.
다른 사람들 의견도 들어보죠…

대단하십니다. 저도 (이제 고인이 된) 이익훈 어학원의 공짜 프로그램인 받아쓰기 챌린지를 한 동안 한 적이 있어서 원글님의 시도가 아주 보기좋아보이더군요. 당연히 님의 시도가 더 상급(!)이신 것은 확실합니다.
부족하지만 혹시 제 귀에 들린 대로 적어봅니다. 덕분에 저도 오랜만에 시도해봤습니다. 감사합니다.

이렇게 많이 의견 달아 주셔서 고맙습니다. 대부분 다 맞추셨는데 비결이 뭔지 한수 가르쳐 주시면 감사하겠습니다. 원글 쓰고 나서 옆집 사람(원어민)한테 염치 불구하고 물어 봤더니 도와 주더군요. 그런데 처음 빨간 색 부분은 여전히 “from we’re”처럼 들리네요. 아휴 언제쯤 이게 다 들릴지 걱정이네요. 고맙습니다.

역시 제가 들은 것과 원어민의 부분은 차이가 있네요.ㅎㅎ

저는 5분 뉴스를 받아쓰기 하고 방송 영어(?)에는 조금 자신이 붙은 것 같습니다. 앞에 적은 대로 이익훈 어학원에서 (지금도 하는 지는 모르겠는 데…) 1990년대에 잡지와 카세트 테이프(!)를 전달치 받아적기를 끝낸 사람에 한해서 무료로 배부한 적이 있습니다. 유가지를요.
공짜로 얻으려면 매월 건너뛰지 않고 받아적기를 해야한 겁니다. 시간은 처음엔 한 10시간 정도 걸린 것 같습니다.5분 뉴스를 말이죠 T.T
한 6개월 후에는 3시간정도로 줄더군요.
강력히 추천해드립니다. 시사용어와 다른 주변 지식들이 많이 늘더군요. 다만, 앞서 말한 대로 방송용 영어에만 해당되므로 One size fits all 방법이라고 보기는 어렵겠죠. 경제적이긴 합니다만 Tedious한 방법이기도 합니다. ; 건투를 빕니다.

이민초기에 이 정도면 정말로 부럽습니다. 오래전의 얘기지만 처음 유학와서 수업시간에 강의를 거의 듣지 못하고 책을 읽고가서 감으로 수업을 들었던 기억이 납니다. 지금도 영어는 많은 부분을 경험이나 감으로 이해하고 넘어갑니다. 이 광고를 dictation하시는데 시간이 얼마나 걸렸는지 또 몇번이나 반복해서 들을셨는지 궁금하군요. CC를 틀어놓고 봤는데 CC가 엉망이더군요. 광고문이라서 그런지 어떤 부분은 아주 쉬운 영어로 선명하게 들리는데 어떤 부분은 일상적인 영어가 아니면서 상당히 빠르게 넘어갑니다. 완성된 dictation을 보면 간혹 앞뒤가 안맞는 문장도 있는 것 같습니다.

이 세문장은 광고에서 발음은 이렇게 했는데 영어로는 잘못됐다는 판단입니다. 첫째 문장의 the hard는 the harder라고 해야 될 것 같고, 둘째 문장은 이해는 하겠는데 영어라고 보기가 어렵네요. 셋째 문장의 at his back이라는 말은 상당히 드문 표현으로 in or on이 아닐까요? 또한 문장의 일치라는 영어의 기본에서 상당히 거리감있는 문장이네요. 어떻게 생각하시나요? 구어적인 표현들인가요? 아니면 광고문장이라서 일반적이지 않은 표현을 썼나요?

맨 위에 올린 딕테이션은 대충 2시간 정도 걸렸던 것 같습니다. 몇 분 되지 않는 광고를 두 시간씩이나 붙들고 있다니요. 부끄럽습니다.

말씀하신 대로 첫 번째는 The harder가 맞는 것 같습니다.
두 번째는 make가 뒤따라오는 세 부분에 다 걸리는 것 같습니다.
세 번째는 “The Quotable Cyclist”란 책에 Daniel Behrman이라는 자전거 애호가가 “You never have the wind with you – either it is against you or you’re having a good day.”이라는 말을 했다는 내용이 있네요. 원래 have the wind at one’s back은 좋은 기회를 맞이하다, 지원을 받다 정도의 뜻인데, 여기에서는 그냥 글자 그대로 해석해야 하는 건가 싶기도 합니다.

The …er, the …er는 아주 기본적인 영어문장인데 잘못 읽었습니다. 둘째 문장은 주어가 없습니다. 그리고 이유없이 gauranteed라는 과거형을 썼습니다. 둘째 문장을 제대로 만든다면 To pull로 시작해야 되는데 아마도 to를 읽지 않은 것 같습니다. 셋째문장은 좌님의 설명을 들으니까 이해가 갑니다.

저의 관심은 광고문이 처음부터 이렇게 작성된 것을 speaker가 정확히 읽은 것이라면 광고문에 정말로 문제가 있는 것이고 만약에 광고문은 제대로 작성이 됐는데 speaker가 잘못 읽었다면 English speaking에서는 모든 단어를 발음하지 않는다든가 speaker에 따라서 일부러 정상적으로 발음하지 않는다는 것을 보여준 예라고 할 수 있겠지요. 이에 비해서 티비 앵커들의 발음이나 표현은 굉장히 정확합니다.

http://www.diaesl.com 에 가시면 파워뤼딩훈련과 빈칸리스닝이 있습니다. 직접 혼자서 프로그램으로 훈련하는 건데 정말 한두달 하면 듣기는 완전 점프합니다. 서서히가 아니라 어느날 갑자기 수직 상승해서 들리기 시작하며 아는 단어 모르는 단어 막들어옵니다. 이때 문제는 모르는 단어는 그 뜻을 모른 다는 것이지요. ㅋㅋ
어찌되었든 듣기는 이만 한 프로그램이 없는 것 같습니다.
