[1] Applied for Cambridge --> you must be an excellent student by course record or grade [2] Failed the interview --> your leadership and/or communication skills was not good enough to their standard. [3] Got accepted to Electrical and Electronics Engineering of Imperial College --> Congrats! UK needs young blood like you on this field now. Here is my two-cents. Advancing to Electrical and Electronics Engineering is a good choice, esp. when you're truly interested in hardware design and development, not in software or data analysis. 'Truly interested' means you're ready to dedicate all your young life to the study and self-support as much as possible. Recall that even Dr. Richard Feynman had to take a part-time job when he was a student. What school to go is less important than what to major in. As long as you're healthy and mentally matured, you will have no problem wherever you go. Broadly speaking, more openings will be available in the United States.
